We Know These Places
Cooke & MacKenzie was founded in 2026, but the experience behind it runs much deeper. Our owners bring twenty years in the hospitality industry, with roots in Ireland, Scotland, and the United States. These aren't destinations we discovered — they are places we grew up in, worked in, and have spent years learning in ways that no guidebook captures.
That depth is what we offer our clients.
A Small Company, By Design
We work with a limited number of clients each year. That is a deliberate choice. Good travel planning takes time, attention, and genuine care — and we are not willing to compromise on any of those things in the name of volume.
Most of our clients come to us through an introduction from someone they already trust. If that's how you found us, you'll know what to expect. If you're coming to us for the first time, we're happy to have a conversation and see if we're the right fit for each other.
Why Clients Come Back
The most telling thing we can say about our work is this: our clients return. Not always to us — though many do — but to the destinations themselves. Ireland and Scotland reward the traveller who goes slowly and looks carefully, and a single trip, however well planned, only scratches the surface.
We think of the first journey as an introduction. What comes after is where it gets interesting.
How We Work
Every itinerary is built from scratch. We don't offer packages or fixed tours. We listen, we ask questions, and we plan around the people travelling — not the other way around.
Before anything else, we ask every prospective client to schedule a 30 to 45 minute video discovery call. This is not optional. It gives us the chance to understand what you're looking for, and it gives you the chance to decide whether we're the right people to plan it. We've found that the best trips begin with that conversation — and that it saves everyone's time when the fit isn't quite right.
If we're aligned, we get to work. Our network of trusted suppliers, guides, and local contacts has been built over two decades, and it shows in the details that matter most when you're actually there.
